Acquiring skills

I shall always be indebted to the many fine machine knitting teachers I've had along the way -- the ones who've taught me in person and the teacher-authors who've spent so much of their time translating their knowledge of this very physical craft into words and pictures and diagrams. I now have a wonderful library of their methods, techniques, inspiration and swatches in print form.

People learn in different ways. But no matter how much a teacher teaches and no matter how generous the teacher is, it's still necessary for me to practice what's given and to research and experiment by myself in order to really learn.

This is Day 3 of the 4th Annual Knit and Crochet Blog Week. We are asked to make our own infographic. Perhaps you recognize my Crafting Fashion icon? ;)
