Out of the past

I came across some old photos and cards a couple of days ago. It was only this morning when I scanned them that I realized that this week marks an anniversary of sorts for one of the documented events!
The 1991 invitation

This exhibit opened at the Paley Design Center 20 years ago this week. The show had originally opened in Tokyo, toured Japan and toured the Pacific Northwest USA. Philadelphia was going to be the closest it got to New York City. DH and I drove down to Philadelphia with DS, who was 6 weeks old at the time.

I was thrilled that my textile had been chosen for the invitation picture on this leg of the tour.
Spatial Frequency and Interference, 1990, 100% wool (The fabric was rotated 90 degrees for the invitation.)

Here's a picture from a few years earlier taken in my studio when I was living in Albuquerque NM.
Late 1980s, a brief period of time when I was doing both wall pieces and garments

In the mid '80s it was about clothing. We did the PrĂȘt at the Javits Center.

My focus is somewhat different now, but it sure is fun to take a look back!
