About a hat, chapter 2: the re-knitting

When last we left the hat, I had returned it to a previous state, a cone of yarn.

Recently, I took yarn to needles again and gave it another go. I decided to keep the mesh-like stitch design that I had liked so much, and I re-wrote my original knitting instructions.  Yes, this time it would be small enough for a human-sized head.

So far, so good. It started to look the way I had imagined version 5 would look. I went ahead and attached the flowers that I had knitted earlier, along with a new swinging stem detail.

One summer slouch in perle cotton -- finished!
